01.06.2018X5 Retail Group and Republic of Tatarstan agree to develop innovations for retail based at Innopolis University
Representatives of science and industry together with students will discuss issues of continuous software deployment, DevOps corporate culture, analytics and machine learning, monoliths and microservices, DevOps training. The School will be held from June 29 till July 3.
Cooperation of the Russian IT University and X5 Retail Group has started with an agreement signed by the Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov and X5 CFO Svetlana Demyashkevich during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
As part of the VII Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum the two organizations have signed an agreement on R&D and engineering. The document is based on the agreement on research and technical cooperation and partnership signed by Gazprom and the Republic of Tatarstan in the autumn of 2016.
The parties signed an agreement covering joint research and high-technology projects, development of cooperation programs with industrial partners and collaboration in commercialization of research and technology development.
In the framework of the Russian Conference “Blockchain New Oil of Russia”, the Russian IT University made a cooperation agreement with Vnesheconombank. In addition, the bank representatives had also agreed to collaborate with Vitalik Buterin, Founder of Ethereum, AkBars Bank and Kazan IT Park.
The Russian IT University held a round-table meeting on theme: “Big Data: Modern Approaches to Systems for Storage, Processing, Management and Protection” at the military forum.
Students of Innopolis University developed an algorithm based on machine learning and analysis of anonymised data set predicting the need of potential customers in credit facilities and bank guarantees with 92% accuracy.
Dr. Bart Verberck, Senior Editor at Nature Physics, and Joffrey Planchard, Institutional Partnerships Manager for Europe, told students of Innopolis University what a scientific article should be like to be published in Nature Research and outlined current trends in academic publishing.
The two higher education institutions have agreed to join their forces to attract prospective students, develop professional standards in the IT area and organize the Russian IT Championship.
