A new campus of Innopolis University was shown to Mr. Ron van Dartel.
During his working visit to Kazan, the Ambassador went to a new IT city Innopolis. He was told about the history of the project and its implementation, and viewed a new campus of Innopolis University where an admission for the next academic year is in progress now. Dmitry Kondratyev, director of the university, informed Mr. Van Dartel about close and fruitful cooperation with University of Amsterdam. Partnership with this reputed institution foresees realization of Master’s degree programs in software engineering and system and network engineering at Innopolis University.
“The Republic of Tatarstan is interested in presence of the Dutch companies in its innovation centers, including Innopolis,” as Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, stated during the talks with Mr. Van Dartel.
The Ambassador emphasized the significance of bilateral collaboration between Russia and the Netherlands in the high-tech sphere. He also mentioned: “I am impressed that such large-scale projects as Innopolis are initiated and realized in Russia. I wish you sustainable growth!"
On the next day, representatives of the parties conducted another meeting, where Pauline Döll, Attaché for Innovation of the Dutch Embassy, and Elmira Khalitova, Head of international relations of Innopolis University, discussed the steps needed to enhance efficiency of partnership between Innopolis University and University of Amsterdam. On behalf of the Embassy, Mrs. Döll expressed readiness to support cooperation between the two Universities and to provide assistance in building connections to other universities and research institutions of Holland.
