The event took place at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo.
The 3-days symposium gathered about 100 researchers in the Japanese capital. Yamabico Symposium serves as a discussion platform for students and young researchers from Japan and all over the world where they present research results and share their views on the future of robotics. It was a great opportunity for information exchange in such areas as mobile robotics, vision, sensors and manipulators. Professor Evgeni Magid, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) from Innopolis University, made a presentation titled "Development of static and dynamic balance based control algorithms for anthropomorphic bipedal robot locomotion: state-of-art and trends". Professor presented the current state of LIRS’s research on development of energy efficient locomotion control. For this research LIRS team uses the Russian robot AR-601M.
