2015 was marked out with a range of events of high importance for the young university: the Russian Robot Olympiad held in Innopolis, in the new university building, the first large-scale selection of students for Bachelor and Master’s degree programs, opening of research laboratories, beginning of the academic year and student life in the campus.
In 2014, we had only 3 publications affiliated with the University. In 2015, we had 36 publications, including 22 articles indexed in Scopus. We have submitted 5 applications for patents and inventor’s certificates
By the end of 2015, the University has opened 3 institutes and 11 research laboratories. The institution currently has 56 faculty members, 86 Master's degree students and 236 Bachelors.
Among our international partners in education and research there are 14 universities including leaders of global rankings, and one reputable research organization.
As part of pre-university instruction, Innopolis University provided training for 7,000 schoolchildren attending STEM-programs. The University has opened its own general education program and is currently involved in the advanced training of school and additional education teachers. Over 7,000 children from 45 regions took part in the Russian Robot Olympiad. So far, the national team of the Russian Federation is getting ready for the WRO 2016. Besides, the preparation of the regional team of the Republic of Tatarstan to IOI 2016 is in progress.
Last year Innopolis University earned 754,5 million roubles. The amount of partner contributions and donations was 535,9 million roubles, which is 2,5 times larger than in 2014. The list of the University’s partners includes the following companies: RUSENERGORESURS, MAXIMATELECOM, MegaFon, MTS, VTB BANK, Russian Post, MAYKOR, Praktika, Advanced Research Foundation, ICL-KME CS, Acronis, Parallels, SKB Kontur, and others. Together with its partners, Innopolis University fulfils the potential of the Russian young generation giving it an opportunity to obtain international-level education in the home country.
