Sergey Katyrin, President of the RFCCI, acquainted with realization of a project of a new Russian IT University.

During the meeting that took place in Kazan, Dmitry Kondratyev, Director of Innopolis University, made a presentation on the concept of Innopolis University that specializes in information technology. Shamil Ageev, Сhairman of the Tatarstan Commerce and Industry Chamber, Artur Nikolaev, his deputy, and Igor Nosov, General Director of Innopolis Special Economic Zone, were also among the participants. In the course of the meeting, the guests were informed about the unique practice of exchange of experience with the world’s leading technology universities, educational principles and methods, and breakthrough research projects in different areas that are carried out in the laboratories of Innopolis University. Sergey Katyrin especially noted geographical diversity of faculty members. The RFCCI President looked round the University building, examined lecture-rooms and state-of-the-art facilities. During this tour, the Innopolis program of pre-university education (STEM) was introduced to Mr. Katyrin. The program is designed for schoolchildren of 5^th-11^th forms, it offers courses in programming, mathematics, physics, robotics, and English.
