The IT University has held a business event on Mechanisms of Partnership between Universities and Industry. Innovation Processes at Enterprises: Tracking and Management.

The University welcomed leaders of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan, including Kazan Aviation Plant, Zavod Elecon, Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding and Engineering Bureau, Kazan Gunpowder Plant, Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N.Tupolev (KNITU-KAI), representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and others.

The meeting was opened by the Rector of Innopolis University Alexander Tormasov. Participants discussed possible ways of  collaboration in advanced training and retraining, organization of seminars and workshops, use of research capacity in industrial processes etc. The University provides training for employees at all levels, enables optimisation of all project processes of enterprises  and offers collaboration in the field of research and engineering.

Participants examined current industrial problems and suggested solutions calling for scientific expertise. Besides, they discussed approaches and methods related to production capacity evaluation and improvement. At the workshop on Performance Evaluation without Historical Data participants learned how to find answers to complex questions in just a few minutes: How well are the industrial processes organized? What is the quality of the final product made by the enterprise?"

The Head of the Analytical Department of Kazan Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Technology (KNIAT) Petr Baskevich noticed that the next step is to process the outcome of the event and determine modes of cooperation with Innopolis University.
