Today Innopolis city has welcomed A.B.Miller, Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of “Gazprom” OJSC accompanied by R.A. Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A.B.Miller learned about Innopolis infrastructure, visited the Administrative and Business Center named after A.S. Popov where a presentation on “Innopolis” Special Economic Zone was shown. The delegation visited the first Russian university focused on education and scientific research in modern information technology, and its residential and sport venues.
Alexander Tormasov, Rector of Innopolis University said: “University has enough experience and opportunities to provide independent import in hi-tech areas. When it comes to these tasks, experts in software development management are highly in demand. Our university is focused on training of such experts. We will make a special emphasis on the tasks that are interesting for the oil and gas industry”.
“Today is another prominent date in the history of Innopolis. We have launched a gas pipeline in the new Innopolis city in cooperation with A.B.Miller, Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors of “Gazprom” OJSC, - noticed R.A. Shaykhutdinov. Today we have shown Aleksey Miller the new city, technological park, and the residential and educational venues of the modern Russian IT-University. Highly qualified IT experts are needed for the development of all sectors of the Russian economy. Our country pays much attention to independent import of software. I am sure that graduates of Innopolis University will be highly in demand for domestic oil and gas industry”.
