Agenda of the event included meetings with students and the University’s faculty.

Dmitry Zavalishin, founder of DZ SYSTEMS Group of Companies, author of the key concept of Phantom OS, organizer and member of the Program Committee of the OS Day Conference arrived at Innopolis University in order to discover the research potential of the institution. At the meeting with the faculty members, the developer learned about training programs in the field of Information Technology and Robotics delivered by the University. The parties discussed research studies based on OS Phantom, areas of prospective industry projects for Master's degree students in Software Engineering and relevant tasks related to the modelling of business and engineering processes according to the CMMI standards for the Digital Zone Company.

After the meeting, Dmitry Zavalishin gave an open lecture on Phantom OS. He told the audience about the new generation operating system, which is very different from similar products. The key idea of Phantom lies in its simplicity and advanced functionality. Authors of the system claim it to be universal due to its compatibility with all the existing systems: computers, mobile devices, server applications, and special systems. Meanwhile, developers believe that the platform is best suited for medical and military equipment. So far, software used in these areas is mostly based on Linux. However, Phantom OS can be more beneficial since it enables instant system start-up and support of the full operating condition.

"During the lecture, Dmitry Zavalishin presented his vision of the operating system in an interesting form. He described the key advantages and disadvantages of currently existing platforms and outlined the main idea of Phantom OS, i.e. conditions of all threads shall be preserved to enable a rapid download of programs started previously. "We had a chance to learn more about Dmitry’s product, to study the source code and even change it a little bit”, noticed Dumitru Savva, a student of Innopolis University.
