The event brought together the world’s most brilliant representatives of science, politics and business.

Today, humanity is approaching the fourth industrial revolution, and robotics is the inevitable part of economic growth and military security of a state. In the next few decades, the labor market will undergo drastic changes because of needs for innovation and high technology expansion. The main theme of Roboforum was dedicated to the education for the next generation of engineers. Head of Intelligent Robotic Systems Laboratory Evgeni Magid shared his own two decades of experience in education and research from Japan, USA, Israel and UK. In his speech "Robotics: Foreign experience in education and research" among other topics Evgeni emphasized modern practices of educational investments and loans around the world. “There are very few families abroad that can afford to pay for children's education in the top universities. The leading American and British universities are most expensive. For example, an undergraduate year fee at Carnegie Mellon University is 20% more expensive than the annual income of the average-sized American family of Pennsylvania state. Therefore, educational loans or scholarships are the only way to get higher education for people from poor families abroad. Usually, for Russian people loan is an opportunity to purchase something tangible, which is followed by a “financial slavery” for the next few decades. On the opposite, foreign students see the loan as a good possibility to build their future, to realize their dreams and long-term goals. With the proper money and energy investment, university graduates in the United States would be able to pay back the loans in a rather short time and significantly improve their living standards, because the gap in the salaries of high school graduates and the person without a higher education is about 40%, or about 21.5 million US dollars a year! During my studies in Israel and Japan it was the educational loans and scholarships, both private and governmental, which gave me the opportunity to obtain the education of my dream in the top world universities”.
