Employees of STEM Centre of Innopolis University and representatives of the IT industry will check the competences and skills of schoolchildren and form a pool of the most talented young people. Experts will supervise prospective students until they enter the University.
Organizers will check the knowledge of Mathematics and English of the schoolchildren of 9-11 forms. Representatives of MTS, Tinkoff, OWN, SKB Kontur, Dooglys, BARS Group, and Innosoft will give lectures and workshops on the topics as follows: “Professions of the Future”, “What Skills to Develop Today to Make a Fortune in Future?”, “Too Late to Learn Programming in 11th Form”, “How to Make a Hype App?”, “Fundamental Principles of Software Engineering”, and etc. A special part of the forum is a business game where teams of schoolchildren will deal with tasks given by the mentors of guest companies.
Maria Tesina, manager of STEM program of Innopolis University said: 'Nobody has ever tested schoolchildren for IT learning abilities and given feedback before us. We don't invite career-guidance experts, we invite IT industry colleagues. This is them who will tell the future young specialits about the state of things in the IT field. Moreover, nobody has ever tried to form a pool of talented senior pupils who is interested in IT field, and to supervise, teach and give them an opportunity to contact with the companies until they enter the university'.
