Nikolay Nikiforov and Rustam Minnikhanov presented diplomas to 21 Bachelors and 17 Masters in the field of IT.

Today Innopolis University celebrated an official graduation ceremony for Bachelors and Masters. By the end of this academic year the University has trained nearly 50 graduates. Among those who came to congratulate young people on this occasion were: Nikolay Nikiforov, Minister of Telecom and Mass Communication of Russia, Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime-Minister , Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan, Egor Ivanov, Mayor of Innopolis city, Serguei Beloussov, Director General of “Acronis” and Anton Grachev, Director of High-Technology Technopark “IT-Park”.

“In fact, this is the second graduation ceremony and now we welcome those who have gained knowledge and diplomas at the new university campus. Your education here was challenging, but you received a good chance to integrate into the IT industry and start working in resident companies or launch your own business”, - noticed in his welcome speech Alexander Tormasov, Rector of Innopolis University,

“The idea to establish a unique university, the best one among other domestic IT universities, has become real”, said Rustam Minnikhanov. The President addressed to the students and graduates and mentioned that “experts like you are highly in demand in our country and abroad”.

“I wish the University to remain the platform for implementation of the most ambitious ideas, ambitions, projects and companies. In the long run, we all hope that you will work in the field of domestic economy, create the added value and improve the quality of life for yourselves, your families and the new Russian city.

The University is a success. But what makes the university? Above all, university is made by its graduates and their actual projects… including those five approved by the Supervisory Board of the Special Economic Zone. As for you, it means employment in the companies that will produce IT innovation for Russia, Innopolis and for abroad”.

Innopolis project is an attempt to establish a new world-class university in Russia. Although the university is quite young, it has great achievements: high-quality research, published articles, graduates, good faculty and curriculum. This is a full-scale university and it can make more achievements. This week we have opened a branch of “Acronis” in Kazan IT-Park. We have extensive plans for our office in Tatarstan where we are going to produce globally demanded products. So far, the team consists of several employees, but soon we are going to expand it up to 50 people. For sure, we expect to see Innopolis graduates among them”, - said Serguei Beloussov.

This academic year the new Russian university welcomes more than 350 Bachelor and Master’s students.
