Innopolis University opens Business Incubator

Business incubator is opened at Innopolis University. This was officially announced at the graduation ceremony featured by Nikolai Nikiforov, the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communication of the Russian Federation, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan

More than 350 students will begin their studies at Innopolis University in the new academic year. According to the statement made at the graduation ceremony, launching the business incubator at the university will help students to develop their business skills in the framework of acceleration programs. The team from IT-Park has become one of the operators of the business incubator. It is known for a successful launch and implementation of two business platforms at IT-Park, the top-ranked high-technology park, according to the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

“This is the third business incubator that we’ve opened so far. Our experience has proven that such support of innovation activity is highly in demand. Synergy of IT-Park and Innopolis University will soon manifest itself in several promising areas. New business incubator will serve as a perfect match for the ecosystem that is currently emerging in the city, thus helping students to turn their research efforts into ongoing business”, said Anton Grachev, Director of the high-technology park “IT-Park”.

Along with infrastructure support, Innopolis University students will get the free access to unique educational programs offered by IT-Park. Startups-related work will involve the Customer Development Technology. The latter will enable testing of business models, promote rapid growth of projects and double a company’s value. The training will involve intensive course of practical workshops necessary for the introduction of the program into methodology; refining of business model and identification of the key growth indicators under mentors’ supervision; and personal recommendations from IT-experts.
