Employees of the Innopolis University took a 4-day field-specific training for teachers thus becoming the first certified ISW coordinators in Russia.

At the workshop on teaching methods, six faculty members of the University studied two models of lesson planning. Each of the participants gave three mini-lessons evaluated by colleagues and IWS instructors according to a number of criteria, in particular, goal setting, level of student engagement in learning by means of various teaching techniques, and productivity in general.

David Tickner, one of the authors of the ISW program at the University of British Columbia (Canada), was in charge of the training process. Previously he organized workshops at the National Taiwan University, Indian Institute of Technology and Jiangnan University.

Thus, Innopolis University has become a unique Russian university with certified ISW coordinators.
