This Olympiad is truly a unique event gathering students of 9—11 forms who will work on real projects offered by the University’s industrial partners: AK BARS Bank, the Ural Bank of Reconstruction and Development (UBRD), Qiwi and InspiRussia.
On April 14—16, Innopolis University will hold the final stage of FinTech 2017, a Russian Olympiad on financial technologies organized as a hackathon. The competition will include teams of 2—3 members. During two days, they will develop a working prototype from scratch and deal with real industrial problems. To do this, participants will need a good knowledge of natural language processing, and know how to set up expert systems and design chat-bots.
So far, it is the first Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren devoted to financial technologies. Tasks of the hackathon are developed in cooperation with industrial partners who provided the educational content for preliminary training, offered methods to access functionality of programs and competencies related to chat-bots and prepared prizes for winners.
Everyone willing to take part in the hackathon need to register for the selection stage until March 6, 2017 on the web site of the Olympiad. Participation is free of charge.
Starting from the next academic year, the FinTech Olympiad of Innopolis University will include three stages. The first one will be a distant and theory-based challenge. Participants will solve real industrial problems using theoretical knowledge of fintech. The second stage will be a distant team-based competition with lectures, webinars and tasks helping participants to handle the final challenge. The third stage of the Olympiad will be an onsite team-based competition where the teams will deal with industry problems using real data and tools.
