More than 150 children from 18 regions of the Russian Federation will take part in the event.

New IT-university located in Innopolis city hosted the official opening ceremony of boot camp for Robot Olympiad. During August 10-20, the university will arrange various training sessions and classes with leading national experts in robotics in the framework of the support program for talented school students and promotion of the Olympiad.

Select team of the Russian Federation representing our country at the World Robot Olympiad 2015 in Doha, Qatar, during November 6-8, will be formed from the winning or prize-taking teams of the Russian Robot Olympiad. The training program will include theoretical and practical classes, analysis of Olympiad tasks, competition rounds and team-making events.

“Federal boot camp for the Robot Olympiad is a final preliminary and selective event of the Olympic session. Now the international stage in Qatar is ahead. On August 20, the full selected robotics team representing the Russian Federation will be announced. Meanwhile, the goal of boot camp is to select the strongest teams and help them acquire new skills. For instance, this year the program of practical and theoretical classes will include English classes with native speakers. Good English is essential for the teams participating in the Open (creative) category since it enables presentation of the project during the international stage only in English. Therefore, this year participants of this category have joined boot camp, as opposed to remote selection in previous years”, said Sergey Masyagin, the Vice-Provost for Pre-University Education.
