Innopolis University will host the first Summer School dedicated to Sailfish OS platform. 

Open Mobile Platform company invites students, graduates, developers of mobile applications and other IT enthusiasts interested in Linux-based projects. Participants of the Summer School will attend introductory lectures, meet representatives of developers community, participate in  technical workshops, take part in competition on programming, enjoy the entertainment program and informal communication.

Sergey Masyagin, Vice-Rector, Head of the Department of Student Affairs, Enrollment and Admission at Innopolis University: "Summer School on Sailfish OS is open for all individuals interested in developing applications for a new Linux-based operating system. IT newbies will get acquainted with professionals, ask them questions and learn what it takes to start an application. In my opinion, representatives of the industry of mobile applications will find it interesting to talk with people who will either work for them or compete with them on the market in the near future. As for beginners, this event will serve as a source of extra motivation to develop skills in one of the most in-demand IT areas."

The Summer School is designed for beginners and professionals. Developers of mobile products will discover techniques and features of creating applications for Sailfish OS. Experts in Qt and QML will learn how to use their experience in programming for smartphones and tablets. Beginners will get basic knowledge about the platform and practice in application development. Professionals will demonstrate their skills and share their experience with colleagues.
