Innopolis University welcomes the Republic of Tatarstan Team-Based IT Olympiad for Schoolchildren: 9 teams are selected to take part at the all-Russian level.

63 teams from Tatarstan and Chuvash Republic were competing for the opportunity to take part in the XVIII Russian Team-Based Olympiad for Schoolchildren. 

The competition was organised in accordance with the format of the ACM-ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest: 3 participants form one team and use one computer. The contestants were given with 11 tasks and 5 hours to solve them applying one of the following programming languages: C/C++, C#, Java, Python, Pascal, Kotlin. The teams from Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, that have taken the first 9 places, will represent the Republic of Tatarstan at the Russian team-based IT Olympiad for schoolchildren in Saint Petersburg on December 9-10.

“Innopolis University is the official coordinator of the regional stage of the Russian IT Olympiad for Schoolchildren. We arrange the Olympiad three consecutive years, which traditionally gives start to the Olympic season at our University. This year Innopolis University accumulated a record number of participants – 189: including both students with limited Olympic experience and proficient participants to form the Russian national team. 18 students, who were selected to perform at the all-Russian level, are also engaged with extracurricular training at the Innopolis University STEM-centre” – explained Dinar Gumirov, Deputy Head of Project-Oriented Academic Competitions Office.
